About Me

Hey! I’m currently working towards a Ph.D. in the field of web privacy and in particular, web tracking. I’ve been working on this topic since my Bachelor’s thesis and further developed it in my Master’s. I began working on tracker detection solutions, but then shifted my focus on conducting meta-research on the field itself. I think many solutions have already been proposed, and I want to figure out how we can make the next step so that these privacy-enhancing tools find their way to the users. To achieve this, I try to look at the whole field more closely as some connections and insights can only be made if we take a step back and zoom out. Lastly, I am currently very interested in the AI-driven (or Agentic) web and what it means for the privacy and security of users; as well as how it might change the online advertising and tracking ecosystem.

Besides my Ph.D. studies, I have worked in an Industry 4.0 research project and support as well as formulate novel research ideas for new research grant proposals.

I’ve worked for 4 years as a Teaching Assistant during my Bachelor’s and my Master’s. During my time, I’ve helped different professors and their research groups to prepare and review lessons as well as teach students and grade their assignments + exams in various undergrad courses. In addition, I’ve worked in the field of business process automation at PwC, focusing on modeling and programming Workflows for different stakeholders.

P.S.: I love cats 🐈.

I am currently looking for research internship positions/visiting researcher opportunities for Fall/Winter 2026 or for the year 2027. I am very eager to broaden my horizon on current (usable) privacy and security problems as well as learning new methodologies (in particular meta-science and user studies) to conduct cutting-edge research and to prepare myself for a potential future PostDoc position. Feel free to contact me!
